Dr. Evdokia Tsitsimeli has been practicing medicine for over 20 years, specialising in paediatric otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery in hospitals and health clinics in Greece, Sweden and Italy. She believes in being present and connecting with patients, listening to their concerns, and following them on their health journey.

Prior to joining ORL Roma, Dr. Tsitsimeli worked at the American Embassy in Rome, where she treated patients in the international diplomatic community and their families for 4 years, including during the pandemic of the Covid-19 when she received a special award for her contribution.

She graduated from Medical University of Plovdiv (2004) and soon after practiced general medicine in Athens and surrounding areas for 3 years before starting a specialization in otorhinolaryngology. After completing one year of general surgery, two years in paediatric otorhinolaryngology, 6 months in plastic surgery and 6 months in neurosurgery in Greece, she relocated to Sweden where she continued her work specializing in head and neck surgery for two and a half years.

Dr. Tsitsimeli received the title of Otorhinolaryngologist by the Greek Board of Health and Welfare (2016) and by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (2017). She has been enrolled in Italian Medical Association in Rome since 2017.

In addition to her native Greek, Dr. Tsitsimeli speaks Italian, English, Swedish, Bulgarian and French. Dr. Tsitsimeli has called Rome home since 2016, and she continues to love the city, its culture and its people each day. In times where medicine can seem impersonal, her approach is to build patient-doctor trust.
